Golden Katana Records is an electronic music label established in 2012 to help genetic disease research.
Mission
GKR is registered as an association, and operates in the same way as a classic music label, apart from the fact that all the featured artists donate their profits to foundations which do research on genetic diseases. It’s a nonprofit organization.
GKR works for free and offers its artists the following guarantees:
– optimisation of their promotion (press pack, social profiles, promotion)
– a coherent artistic and editorial policy
– a good quality follow up according to release dates
– financing arrangement for mastering and pressing
Artists
Beyond its charitable aspect, the label also wants to prove its credibility on a very competitive market.
That is why the artists who apply are selected very rigorously: they must come up with long-term, coherant quality projects.
